| It should be interesting to compare your opinion with a european one. I am not fond of our system, it also have lot of unfair points, and it does not work very well those times.
But, considering your arguments, it means the only hope for a student in med school is to get money. I think some must have higher ambition, like a real interest, or a want to help people. I'm aware they are not many.
In addition, a state run health help doctors to have surer jobs, and a still wage: for those who want to earn more money, I guess they should master in one field, which will be more wanted, and I can't find the appropriate word, but a field which can make them wealthier.
The fact is, to be fairer, everyone must afford some basic health standards, but it doesn't mean everyone must go to a psychoanalyst, etc.
