Primary school : "8 to 12 years old students ---Greece----"

Hellooooooo,.... My name is Kosta and I am a English teacher in Greece. I have two students who are interested in making penpals. They are in the primary school and they are 8 and 9 respectively. I also have two students who are 12 years old ( they are in the high school). I hope that I can find some italian students who are interested in having Greek penpals. We prefer children who want to send letters through post mail, as my students do not have internet access.
I forgot to mention that they all are boys.
I hope that they will like having penpals and that they will motivate the rest of the class. It is a very good chance to improve English language and make friends from Lovely Italy.
Thank you very much fellow teachers, it is always a pleasure to talk to colleagues!!!

Hi! Kosta
My name is Moustaf and I am a English teacher in Turkey. I am GREEK citizen. From (Ksanthi) I have four students who are interested in making penpals. They are in the primary school and they are 4-5-6 grades students. We prefer children who want to send letters through post mail, as my students do not have internet access.

Hellllooooo,
I am very happy you have answered back. I will be glad to give you the address of one of my student in order to begin communicating with your little boy. I have two students at almost that age, 10 and 11. As you understand they are not native speakers but the letters will be as good as possible (with my help too). As a teacher you know that we have to guide children not write the letters for them. I think the best is to write via post mail , in order to have the feeling of real communicating with a penpal, you know to go to the post office, in general to feel the responsibility to have a penpal. I do not think that you have to be afraid for you son not being safe. I am a career teacher and I care for the children all over the world. It is a profession I chose to do , not because I have to do it. So do not be afraid. Can you please send me your mail or you want me to send the post mail of my student?? I think it will be better for my boy to have a letter from your son for the first time. As my student is not a native speaker and inexperienced in having a penpal he will not be sure how and what to write.
Thank you very much I will be waiting for you mail.
Yours Kosta

I am a High School teacher and know there are organizations out there to match classes of kids with other classes through teachers. However, I am currently looking for a safe penpal from Greece for my 8 year old son. He also has a best friend who would probably also love to send and receive letters. Post mail is fine. We are hoping to travel t Greece in a year and thought it would be more fun if my son knew someone there. He loves school, Greek mythology and hockey. Any letters would have to be in English, but he is interested in studying A LITTLE Greek.
