8940 - from Michel Somville (Belgium) - 2006-03-16 : "Seeking penpals for my students" I teach English to students aged 17-18 and I would like to find a teacher who is interested in a penpal project between our classes. It can be in English only or both in English and French. I teach a class of 18 students with English a first foreign language and a class of 11 students with English as a second foreign language. All French speaking natives. Thank you !

I teach French at an American University and I have started a Virtual Linguistic Exchange with my students in the Spring (using webcams, Skype, etc.). The experience was so rewarding that I would like to continue with all of my classes in the Fall. I am consequently looking for French-speaking partners who would be willing to help my students with their French, and my students would help their partners with their English. I have three classes in Fall, one where the exchange will take place from 9-9:50 on Wednesday every two weeks, one at 10-10:50 same day, and one on Thursday from 12:30-12:45 every two weeks as well. If you think that this could work out, and I know your students may be a bit younger than mine, but that's okay with me, please send me a message back.
