Philosophy : "Nuclear energy or not ?"

French nuclear is said to be the safest in the world. I don't know what to think.
Dams dry rivers, eolian is awfull to see makes a sound too loud and depends on wind,
solar energy costs a lot and depends on sunlight, wood taken for heat destroys forests.
What is your opinion ?

I once saw this NatGeo show about what might happen if the world runs out of oil, and according to it, there wouldn't be enough land to grow emaough corn to feed people and provide biofuel. So that factor is out too. Howvever, it did suggest creating biofuel from algae. Now it didn't say anything else about that, so I have no idea how much it costs/ if it's even possible to do that yet. There's also a way to harvest methane gas from landfills. In fact in some cases, there are power plants built right over them to harvest the energy from decomposing trash. But I don't know why we havent' done that for all landfills yet.

It's me again. It's true that here, in France, we didn't have had nuclear catastrophies until now, but I don't realy know. We have a lot of anti-nuclear people, I don't know if it's manipulation or not. Maybe geothermy everywhere could be a solution...

I think they should ask French people on this issue, maybe they know the best :))
