I am very interested in a pen pal snail mail exchange. I think this would be a great way to promote literacy, global awareness, and encourage a cultural exchange. Thank you so very much. Hello, I am currently teaching English to 42 6th graders at a bilingual school in Spain. I was wondering if you would be interested in exchanging letters in English back and forth about the differences and similarities of our countries. Although my students are older I still think just the exchange of information with native English speakers will be great. My students are extremely excited to learn more about Ireland. I believe sending the letters and photos would be amazing for both of our students. I understand your class is not as big as mine. I propose that maybe one of your students to every two of mine or possibly just setting up half the class with a pen pal. What do you think? I would like to begin as soon as possible!

Hello everyone,

My name is Laura and I'm writing to you about my daughter Lily who is currently looking for a pen pal. She'll be 9 years old this coming February and has traveled through some of the eastern region of the US and has lived in 3 different states. She studies her map constantly and wonders about traveling and different cultures. She's always received A's in all of her classes. She would very much like to have a pen pal, please let me know if one of your students would like to correspond with her.

Hello! I'm a teacher librarian and we are from S. Pedro da Cova, Porto, Portugal. We are developing an English project in our primary schools (8/9 year old students, English first year).
Our idea is to contact english native-speakers students by mail/other internet based communication system (same age, more or less) and to share cultural and country's identities, language and history. We will create an email adress for each class and our English teacher will coordinate de project.
Hope you and your class can help us.
Bestwishes,
Mariana

Hi - I work with kids aged 5-11. We are looking for a group of children to exchange letters with via the mail service (not e-mail) the purpose of this activity will be to explore a culture other than our own. I currently have 22 students but can recruit another to write the 23rd letter to match your enrollment. We prefer to communicate in English. I also request that all mail be sent to the school, not to students homes. Please respond if you are still looking for a pen pal group. waym7572@gmail.com
