If you're a middle or high school teacher in the U.S. looking to connect your classroom with a class from a different state, check out American Pals at www.americanpals.org. It's an intra-national pen pal organization helping American students connect with peers outside their geographic/cultural "bubbles" through year-long, offline letter exchanges. It's a great way to help bridge some of the divides in the country while allowing kids to rediscover a form of communication/relationship-building different from what they've learned in the digital age! |
