I see your message was dated quite some time ago but we are looking for penpals from Australia for our preschool class. The name of our class is the Koala Bears so we were hoping to share information with a class or a few children so that our children can learn more about Koala bears and where they are from. Please let me know if you can help or may know of someone who can.

Thanks, Monica

Hello,

I have a world cultures club with kids from 9 - 11 years old in Falls Church, Virginia, USA, and we will soon begin sending "cultural packets" through the mail to countries around the world. We will be reading the book "Flat Stanley" which is about a boy that gets flattened to half an inch thick and then travels the world through the mail. We'd then like to make our own cardboard "Stanleys" dressed in clothing from our community with a little story about our lives in Falls Church and send them to other groups of kids around the world. We would love for your class to participate. We would hope that we would get the dolls back from you dressed in clothes from your town and with a story about daily life there. Please let me know if you would have any interest in this exchange.

Thanks,
Lenah

Hello. I am a Trinidadian residing in the United States since 1989. I am now a mother of a soon-to-be four-year-old daughter and aunt to a nine-year-old boy. I would love for my daughter and my nephew to learn of schools and cultures of children in other countries so that they can realize how extremely over-privileged and ungrateful Americans can be if they do not open up to people from all over the world. My daughter is now learning to read and write, so very simple language would do for her. Also, my nephew has expressed a great interest in corresponding with children from other countries, and it's the first time I have ever seen him excited to read or write anything. Please respond to the following e-mail if your class is interested. Thank you: fransesca.stjohn@yahoo.com

Hello,

I am giving private English lessons in Istanbul. One of my students, a 9 year old girl (has been learning English from the age of 4) would like to practice reading/writing through communication with a penpal (e-mail). I am thinking of incorporating this into the lessons, next lesson is on Sunday:)

Kind regards
Sandra

dear sir or Madam,

I' m an English teacher in New-Caledonia and I would like my students to focus on New Zealand .
In fact, I may need 140 - 150 approx pen-friends( letters or e-mails) to match with my 4-6 classes aged 12 to 16.
All a teacher would have to do is send me a list containing :surnames names ages and classes and of course the school address( postal and web).
The caledonian teenagers would communicate in English and expect their fellow students to choose the language they prefer (French or English).
It shouldn' t take too much time or energy (from the students and the teacher) because most of the issues and topics debated would be studied in class here in New-Caledonia (identity, family, likes/ dislikes ,place, history and geography..) so that the kids in New Zealand would just have to answer in their native language if too tricky.

I Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours faithfully

Hi There,
I am a primary school teacher of children aged 10-12. Our school is a small rural school (160 students) in Cork, southern Ireland. I would be very interested in setting up penpals between my class and yours. I would prefer my students to correspond through leters rather than e-mail if that would suit you. The catch is though, that we finish for summer holidays for two months at the end of June. However, if we got started as soon as possible, Im sure we could arrange for 3 or 4 letters to be send between the classes and after that the students themselves could keep up the contact independently or write from class to my students home addresses? or even just resume penpals after the summer hols. You can email me if you are interested.
Many Thanks,
Julie
