My little rat is now lying between my legs. She's sleeping! I only have her for 6 months but I realy love her. My boyfriend was shocked at first but now he can't live without her... neither can I :D |

Hello ! I loves the rats ! When I was 14 I had a rat and my sister too :) mine's was named Angie, she was very speed ! Now, I have two rats, Aston and Fievel, they loves hugs and sleep on me, they run in my room, it's really funny ! Sorry for my poor english :$. |

To those who love rats, and want one, I have some tips. First, write a cute letter on reasons why your parents should let you get a rat. Give them the letter, have them read it, and discuss it. Second, write down facts about rats. Third, write down things they can eat, and can't eat. You need to show your parents that you know what they can eat and what they shouldn't eat, so you can make sure they know you can feed it and care for it's health. Fourth, go to the nearest spot where lots of people go to. Like a supermarket, where people get food, and they go there often. That is somewhere where people will notice you. Ask the manager if you can set up a table for donations for a rat. Tell him or her that you want to help rats without a home. Give the donation service a cool name. When you get lots of money, go to a animal shelter and donate money to the rats for supplies. Fifth, get a job to take care rats. Always make sure you know the person before going to their house. It could be for a friend, neighbor, or reletive. When they go away, ask them if you could occasionally come and take care of the rat. That will show your parents you can take care of the pet. The customer may ask you some questions about you. Always answer correctly, or you might do things you can't do, and hurt the rat. You want to treat it like a baby. I've had lots of Ratties. They are an amazing pet. My latest is a sweet old girl named V. She is hairless with one black eye and one red eye and dumbo ears. She freaks a lot of people out but I think she's cute. |

I have 2 rats. They are brothers and one of them is called Spike who is black with a white spot on his head and then there is Flash who is tan also with a white spot on his head! This is my 1st time on this website and my 1st time as a rat owner, my rats are very spoilt though because as well as having their regular rat food they love a little bit of toast and jam in the mornings and a little of our meal in the eveings! I would love for someone to reply! |

Rats are SO cool!! i have three right now, all female. I have had MANY over the years. They are very friendly and love to ride on my shoulder. xD Right now I have Mandy and Dusk, two adults, and a little baby named Streak. I just adore their beady eyes. If you do not have a pet rat please get one. I find them so cute. Even the tail doesn't gross me out. |

I have 3 rats currently, the eldest one is 2years 7months and shes called moo, shes the sweetest thing but quite ill now. Shes just developed a cateract (cant spell it lol) and has lost the use of her back legs. Poor old lady. She is also a spoilt little brat lol far too used to being out of the cage with me honestly she would stay out 24/7 if i knew i wouldnt role ontop of her at some point. she also refuses to eat rat food so has what we eat lol. I had a black and white rat with her but unfortunatly i had to have her put down because she had cancer With moo now i have an albino called red who is 7months ish old, shes lovely but podgy already, shes in charge of the pack! lol and clap who is black and white, same age and very territorial with her nesting! |

I used to have two rats named Sweetie and Punkin. I was so sad when they died but, there were a lot of advantages against them being gross and all that stuff. First of all, rats are so cute and cuddly, and they even do well with dogs. But the thing was they only lived two to three years, but I made the best of it and they like to chew on stuff in the house, like the buttons on your remote. They were really nice and they didn't bite or anything. So now, after experiencing having rats they've become my favorite animals and I hope you've gotten a few tips on rats the next time you'd like to get one at the pet store. Rats |
