I really don't have a favorite animal, I love all animals, but I try to advocate bats, because they are so misunderstood. They are cute, and they aren't blind and they don't suck your blood. Anyone want to talk about bats?

Bat - "Why bat is my chosen favourite animal"

I remember in 1st grade, my teacher told the whole class to make a diorama of any animal. I decided to do a bat, because I wanted to know more about those types of animals. I did a diorama of a little brown bat's cave inside of a shoebox. Ever since, I have been fascinated by the wonders of nature and animals, biology, and animal science. But, I always have especially intrigued by bats. They are truly amazing animals,

Bat - "About how bats got to be my favorite animal"

Over the summer we went to a bat presentation at our library, about bats (Of course), but, they held it at a club called the eagles club where my dad and me go to snowmobile meetings. They brought two fruit bats which were really bug. I think they were about 11-13 inches tall and about 3-6 long. They talked about how fast their echolocation was and had to slow down the sound so that we could hear it. Have you ever heard the simile "Your as blind as a bat"? That is wrong because bats have great eyesight. When they were finished you could go up to the bat owners and get your pic taken with one of the bats! When I got my pic the bat was on my shoulder.

Bat - "Bats"

Even if I am facinated by lions, I'm also attracted by bats. I live in a chalet and
a long time ago we had, in the roof, small bats (called "roussettes", and I loved to see
some of them flying in the evenings. One day I found a baby bat sleeping on an extern wall. It was amazing !!!

You are so lucky! I really like bats because of their special radar-like locating system and I sometimes dream about having a pet bat.

Bat - "Bats are amazingly adapted animals"

Bats are amazing creatures. They are mammals, that's the same Kingdom as humans and they can fly! They are the only mammals that fly and they do not actually have wings. Instead they have specialized arms and hands that swoop down and have thin skin. This is so that they are aerodynamic. These animals are endangered and I think it's horrible that people do not even care. Bats are beneficial to us as they help to pollinate may flowers and fruits. I'm proud to be a member of the Bat conservation Trust, they're an animal that needs to be saved.

I love bats. There are a lot of bats found in my country. I have been researching bats for about 7 years now and plan to become a Wild Life Biologist. I am a bat conservationist and my Mom and I have rescued 11 bats so far. I am working on making a bat website. Megan I think you would be interested in it. You should check it out sometime and tell me what you think and any ideas on how I could improve it. It is still a work in progress so some of the pages aren't done yet. Jannik there are over 1,000 different speices of bats. Robert my favorite bat is....all of them lol but if I had to pick one I would say the Big Brown Bat because those are the ones I have rescued and I also have a bat costume my Mom and I made that is like a big brown bat. Bridie if you want to know anything about bats that you probably don't know already just ask me. I have been researching bats for about 7 years now and I have rescued 11 bats. Also I have done 22 presentations on bats to teach kids about them from ages Pre-K through 11 grade in High School....Oh and teachers who were there to.

Bats... hm where do I start? How about... THEY ARE TOTALLY AWESOME! I have 3 main favourites: Vampire bat (aw-sum!), Devil Bat (looks adorable) and a fruit bat (so cute!!) I Love-Loves them! But all bats are cute :] and totally core.
