In Greek mythology, Medusa was a guardian, protectress" was a gorgon, achthonic female monster ; gazing upon her would turn onlookers to stone. She was beheaded by the hero Perseus, who thereafter used her head as a weapon until giving it to the goddess Athena to place on her shield. In classical antiquity and today, the image of the head of Medusa finds expression in the evil-averting device known as the Gorgoneion. She also has two gorgon sisters.

The three Gorgon sisters — Medusa, Stheno, and Euryale — were children of the ancient marine deities Phorcys and his sister Ceto, or sometimes, Typhon and Echidna, in each case chthonic monsters from an archaic world. Their genealogy is shared with other sisters, the Graeae, as in Aeschylus's Prometheus Bound, who places both trinities of sisters far off "on Kisthene's dreadful plain": Near them their sisters three, the Gorgons, winged with snakes for hair— hated of mortal man.

In a late version of the Medusa myth, related by the Roman poet Ovid, Medusa was originally a beautiful maiden, "the jealous aspiration of many suitors," priestess in Athena's temple, but when she made love to the "Lord of the Sea" Poseidon in Athena's temple, the enraged goddess transformed her beautiful hair to serpents and she made her face so terrible to behold that the mere sight of it would turn a man to stone. In Ovid's telling, Perseus describes Medusa's punishment by Athena as just and well-deserved.

In the majority of the different versions of the story, while Medusa was pregnant by Poseidon, she was beheaded by the hero Perseus, who was sent to fetch her head by King Polydectes of Seriphus as a gift. With help from Athena and Hermes, who supplied him with winged sandals, Hades' cap of invisibility, a sword, and a mirrored shield, he accomplished his quest. The hero slew Medusa by looking at her reflection in the mirror instead of directly at her to prevent being turned into stone. When the hero severed Medusa's head from her neck, two offspring sprang forth: the winged horse Pegasus and the giant Chrysaor who later became the hero wielding the golden sword.

Well actually Medusa is a gorgon.
It is said that a man named Persues had slain Medusa by cutting off her head.
In mythology it says that there were actually three gorgons and Medusa was one of them.
Gorgons are sometimes depicted with fangs and skin of a serpent, golden wings, tusks of a boar and brazen claws.

Il y avait 2 catégories. Les SA et les SS.
Les S.A. fondés en 1920 étaient un service d'ordre destiné à protéger les réunions du Parti Nazi de Hitler et à perturber les réunions communistes et socialistes. Ils pouvaient etre recrutés parmi les chomeurs notamment.
Au départ, les S.S. étaient les gardes du corps personnels de Hitler auquel ils prêtaient un serment de fidélité particulier.A partir de 1934, les SA deviennent plus secondaires (donc moins connus aujourd'hui) et les SS jouent un role majeur au niveau de l'extermination.

Hi I am also from Korea and I am middle school student.
yeah, the fact that Japan insists is not right.
but, i think they have the right to insist it. Why do you think they say our island is theirs? because, they think we are weak. look at Korea! They are more impolite and rude than Japan.
