I actually was able to get ubuntu on my acer c7 chromebook, the system is locked down worse that iOS but I'm slowly learning how to use terminal commands. It's pretty fun!

I love Puppy Linux it ROCKS!! I can do sooo many cool things with it. Also, GIMP is twice as powerful on Puppy Linux! I love GIMP. I use version 2.4 and its BETTER than the latest GIMP versions.

Yay! More tux-pals! I use lots of Linux OS's on my laptop - Backtrack (If I wanna be awesome :D), Ubuntu (If I can't be bothered using commands), Pure Linux Kernel (No gui, pretty awesome if you want to just get started quickly), ReactOS (not Linux, per se, but yaknow) and if Linux is putting me in a bad mood - Windows. What about you lot?

Hello there, my linux compatriots. Running Linux Mint 14 right now, they just released a new RC! Broke the WINE packages though :(

Also, to Ji Won, if you don't feel comfortable using GIMP, try out GIMPSHOP! It's a branch of GIMP made to feel and look the same way that photoshop does. I myself like the traditional GIMP interface though :)

I use linux fedora and ubuntu. and, of course gimp too!
But because I have used adobe series since I was younger, using photoshop makes me comfortable than gimp does.

@Brunnhilde I used to use GameMaker, it was quite nice to use but I just HAD to code from scratch, so I started using PyGame and now Allegro. What are your experiences? What have you made so far?
@Nathanial 5-6 years? Wow, how did you start off? What programming language did you use? I started with BASIC :D
