Philosophie - "buddhismus"

i don't know any buddhist, and i was just curious what you guys believe happens after you die.

ich kenne leider keine buddhisten, und ich wollte nur herausfinden was ihr denkt, nach dem leben passiert.

je ne connais pas de bouddhiste, mais je veux savoir que vous pensez de la vie après la mort.

Supposedly, the world will end in 2012. There is however 0 truth to this theory. First of all, much of it is a scam to get money. People sell things telling information about how to survive. People believe this and give in to it. Also, the Mayan prophecy is FAKE. 2012 is the start of a new baktun, and the mayans didn't predict anything dangerous. All other theories have no proof to back them up. So there

they all died mysteriously. And one of them died of fear.

I translate : I think that pharaons had a defense system, or it's the warning written on a stone who had an impact in the inconscient of the archaeologs and
death occured. The warning was about wings of death for, if I remember, people who would disturb the rest of the pharaon...or it was the pharaons themselves who had revenge from the after life...

he wrote that the "wheel" will be sent by "God", and I'm sure it's a UFO.
At these times, people would have not understood what's an UFO, waves, aliens...
Apocalypse is a warning to the people of the Earth, but the truth is hidden.
A saint is someone special, a witness of strange, he has the merit to give a
message of peace, as Jesus did, but he hides a big part of the truth. But they

In the Apocalypse of Saint John, there is the proof of the existence of UFO (the "wheel"
which will land on Earth and from which the "Holly spirit" will spread everywhere).
We will be the witnesses of the massive arrival of extraterrestrians. And it's them
who will convince everybody ! (of course I am tolerant and I respect the beleivers of
each religion).

to believer: telling someone that you have to return to your religion is not a good idea for a non-believer, he would hate that religion because he will feel that he is obliged to follow it. let him free to think as he likes, it's not you who will convince him to do that, it's GOD !!
to regine: no one obliges you to follow something you don't want to follow, it's your life. so i don't want you to think we are pushy, it's not us who will convince you of existence of god, it's in you and god knows that

I DON'T BELEIVE IN THE HOLLY GUIDE I think all comes from extraterrestrians. I don't
belong to a sect. And I beleive in ancient Atlantis, the forces of nature and overall
the powers of the sun, the moon, planets and stars. In true astrology, Saturn and
Pluto (the equivalent of Hades)judge and guide us in the afterlife. Why should I beleive
in a "God" only by reading a book, there is no proof of his existence, but extraterrestrians have been seen by many people, there are vestiges of Atlantis in the
ocean, near Bimini, and if there was such a God, the big bang is so immense, like the
universe, that he would be gigantic, how wuold he see us among the billions of galaxies
I THINK OUR UNIVERSE HAS BEEN CREATED BY A BIG BANG PRODUCED IN LABORATORY AS WE DID

i'm going to answer your questions
first because gos is so great , he is not like us, i mean he is not male or female, it's just the greatest, and it's very obvious to me , because who wants to worship a god that is male or female? i mean a god that have a human caracteristic. then you said who created god, that's a wrong question. for example you can say who created the ball?me who created me ? and there we stop this chain of questions? do you want to worship a god that is himself created by someone else, god existed forever, that's all we know because our human smallish brain can't understand such things, it's being a part of god's mercy.after the prophet mohamet(peace and prayers upon to him)the door of punishment in life was close, i mean any one who does evil things , god will punich him in the other life or indirectly in his life. read the history of israel. every time god sends a prophet to them they don't believe him and kept on ignoring existence of god, then god punishes them, for example the prphet NOHE was not believed by his people so all the unbelievers were drowned by god, there are people who became in the shape of monkeys and pigs when they disobey god. god sent also earthquakes to them!!! but when the prophet mohamet came (peace and prayer upon to him)god gave him 2 choices, god keeps the door of mercy open until the day of resurrection or every one who doesn't believe gets a very hard punichment. so he chose the first. anyway, the theory of evolution of darween fell in water. the news passed a picture of a human being, when according to darween there was not human at first but monkeys!!!
why you are so attached to believe in things you don't know? have ever seen an alien? a real creator doesn't give up his creature, he must be always in you? helping you and guiding you? but you know, one day the sun will explose and the earth will hit the sun, if they gets the power from themselves why they will disappear one day, this fact is proved by scientists and it's mentioned in the QURAN.
astrology sign? it has never worked with me , everything they say about is wrong!!! these astrology signs are pictures created by human, i can look at them and find another meaning, it is not stable
i'm not asking you to join a sect or religion, i'm not talking about religions but about thoughts, opinion and the way you look to things, i know it's personal but there are things which are obvious and i'm glad to talk to you
waiting for your next reply

as every things change, according to what the scientists discovered, it does not mean
that they appear and disapear. They are not created and destroyed (I mean the essence)
they are only transformed. Nothing can born from nothingness, because nothingness cannot contain something. It's the same for death. I beleive in the afterlife, but for me it's
a matter of another invisible dimension. I am a Scorpio lady and I beleive, of course,
in astrology. In astrology we are ruled by the planets, and the constellation of each
sign. The proof is that when I do astrological themes, the result is that I never think
wrong about the minds of people concerned.

If such a "God" existed he would be gigantic ! and who created him ? And who created his
creators ? And why not a goddess ? I read a lot during my life and I've learned in
metaphysics books that in the universe the summ of fire, air, water, and all mixed
create the physical world. According to me, the Universe has an intelligence, as I said
and aliens, coming from space or another dimension, have always existed, but according
to Darwin, we are the result of evolution, and I add it's the same for aliens. Before and after, it's endless. If there was a God, or a Goddess, there would not be so many
atrocities in the world ! Otherwise "God" or "Godess" is evil. But, without being
Buddist, I beleive in reincarnation, that would explain what happens to us according to
the law of karma.I BELEIVE IN THE FORCES OF NATURE as well. In the seventies, a woman
had been abducted by aliens, who showed her a place looking like Eden. And they gave
a warning to the world. Have you heard about the crystal skulls ? It's a matter of
Atlants, who came from another world. Jesus might be one of them. I don't want to join
a religion or a sect. I read and learn and think by myself.

thanks for your reply first
before, the scientists said that the univers was not created, it as stable and it has existed all the time, it has no beginning and no ending. but after that, the scientists themselves who ignored existence of god found that the world and the univers change. and in science everything that changes must have an ending and a beginning, so here the univers didn't exist and the big bang was the cause of existing of the world. then, you know, everything in this world can't happen by itself. imagine that you are sitting somewhere then you find pieces of metal coming together and then comes an engine , there we have a car, made by itself. is that logic?? there must be someone who created the car. if we were created in laboratory as you mentioned, who created then us in these laboratories???aliens?who created the aliens? created by their own? how could a creature creat a human, this womderful creature , very compliquated mecanism, where the heart bits by itself and this amazing corps, when you get injured it fixes by itself!!!!this air that breath and without it we die, these plants that we eat and without them we die, this sun that comes from the east and goes away by the west and without it we die. the day when we work and the night when we rest??? this creation' logic !!you want to give it to unknown creatures??!! about jesus, that's right he had many miracles but also there are prophets who had miracles too, suche as moise and suleiman and many many others, they come from the space too???i ask from you, dear regine, to think deaply. because this univers is a great mystery. in the gospel, the bible and the holy QURAN, there are evidences that proves the existence of god. in the holy QURAN for example, god described the image when the univers ends, the day of resurrection, and it's proved by scientists. they proved also that our body is created minutely. in fact, our body is based on a golden section, it's mentioned in the QURAN too. the scientist who was working on that converted to islam after his researchs. and so many other things
i'm waiting for your reply for your opinion

Yes, I'm fine. To reply to you, I neither belong to the religions you mentioned, nor
Buddism. You ask me who created, for instance, the moon and the sun. I suppose the
entire universe has always existed, the stars and planets have a soul of their own.
I add that they are all a part of the brain of the Universe. The galaxies move,
diseappear and born again near a black hole... According to Enstein said,
nothing is created, nothing dies but everything is transformed.God, for me is the universe and Jésus is, like us, the son of the universe(which created our ancestors as
well of course ! According to what is written
in the Bible, it seems to me that Jésus had parapsychological powers. He was not from our
world. And angels, according to me, were cosmonauts. But, as I wrote in a rubric about
science, that we, and the universe, could have been created in laboratory, as we did
by creating a big bang...

hi regine, i hope you are fine
you said that you believe in the power of the sun and moon... and you don't believe in any religion, i hope you are talking about the three religions sent by god of course(islam, christianity, judaisme) and in these three religion, something in common is that there is one god who created everything the sun and the moon, sorry but i can't understand you, if you believe in the sun and the moon power it's obvious that you have asked yourself the question" who created them", and then you return to god, the unique.
sorry if i didn't understand you, if so i would be glad to explain to me your opinion about that
@ vladimir: why there is no other answers, we can discuss forever about that, especially about jesus(peace upon to him) and the fact that you believe he's son of god, i want to ask you a question, every time i ask it to a christian he doesn't answer me: give me an example from life that explains trinity, something that is composed of 3 things, just 3. as far as i researched,i couldn't find something composed of just three things, which leads us to the question: why you have specified the number 3, just 3. if you gave to god a number , why you didn't choose 4, who said that jesus was the only son of god? the prophet suleiman was used to talk to invisible creatures, was jesus able to do that!!!??? there we found that a prophet did something that a SON OF GOD didn't do??!!!
dear vladimir, the one who created this great univers must be unique no one is like him, and his majesty doesn't allow him to take a human as son, he doesn't have son, not angel not human, he is just so UNIQUE, and it's very obvious!!!you say in the bible that god after he created the world went to rest, do you want to worship a god that take a rest, do you think that makes a sense???!!!a god who gets tired!!!??? the old testament is the correct one, because it was sent by god and it wasn't touched by other hands which changed things in it
i would be so glad to write to me and tell me what you think and make sure i didn't mean to attack christianity, because it's forbidden in islam

I've never really noticed, but I'm sure I stand closer to friends than to new people. Again, normally, I don't touch people while I'm talking, unless I'm trying to demonstrate something, and the same normally goes for people talking to me. I must say, this sounds like a very interesting study you're doing.

No, kids should not be paid for going to school no matter how often adults say it's their job. School districts and states pay for children to go to school, so they can grow up educated and responsible adults. Education isn't free, people pay for it out of taxes. Why should kids be paid to go to school? It's not like it's bad for them. School provides kids with an education, something that is needed in the real world. Schools are broke as it is, why would they pay children to learn, when they should be doing so gladly in the first place? Sure, not all schools may be great schools, but surely they pick up at least a kernel of learning here and there, so no, children should not be paid to go to school. Of course not. Neither hould they be paid for good grades, since children shouldn't need an incentive to do well in school. If they don't do well in school, they're not going to do very well in life, so good grades shouldn't be rewarded, they should be expected.

2- i believe that when you come out you are considered to be wet, because when you are under water there's no wet, it's like we say water is wet, but when you come out you have the air which is dry so you would remark a difference , so you are wet according to the air and the environment you're living in.

The bit about the tree has pretty much been answered. The sound waves are created and will be heard by animals/insects/etc.

As for the water question, of course you are wet in both cases. Being wet is essentially having water molecules all over the surface of your skin/hair. This is the case for both being under water and just getting out of water. However, like Regine said, you are perhaps less wet after you get out because some of the water molecules will have dripped off or evaporated.

Of course this sound exists in all cases, because in our universe, you will always have atoms that will interfere with the considered evenement (and then, detect it)... except in deep space (sound cannot exist there). But light (for example), theorically, would never exist and never be detected in the "deepest" space that would be made of an infinite nothingness... in other words, the "absolute-zero" temperature, then no energy and then no atoms. But a such area does not exist...

For your second question, i think you are less wet out of water because the air dry.

It's me again. It's sure that even if you don't hear the sound, it exists. For instance
the speed of the sound is 300 meters by second, and according to that when lighning,
for instance, strikes, you hear it only after. Before you did not hear it, it exists. For the tree, it's the same, except that the sound is not
loud enough. But it exists.

1- according to quantum physics, while the sound is not detected, it does not exist. But concretely, this sound will be detected by other trees, insects and so on...
2- yes

Autres - "Which one?"

There are these two cute girls at school. There names are Jessica and Olivia. Jessica is a tall athletic girl that is the most popular in school. She always wins the 1-mile run and she has a bunch of friends. Olivia is a cool girl who doesn't have as much friends as Jessica. She has a friend that is a boy named Blake that is also my friend. She is very talkative.

I like Olivia a little more than Jessica. If I get Jessica I get to call her Jess but if I get Olivia I get to call her Liv.

I want your opiniom on who I should like. Which one?

You should like the one you like, not the one other people say you should like. We don't know you or these girls, so we can't really make an informed decision. But choose the one you like more, regardless of what they look like or their nicknames, or how many friends they have. Although if you want my opinion, 11 is a little young to have a relationship that goes anywhere anyway.

Want a girl's opinion? it doesn't matter who's prettier or who's more athletic. what matters is who is the one that has the most in common with you. Who can you walk up to and start a conversation with right away? And you should first become friends before you even think about relationships.

i think you should see with who do you get on well more. i guess you like both of them, personally, when i read what you said about the two girls , the second one i mean olivia seems to be a good person. especially that i have a liking for people who don't have many friends, they are usually good people. but after all, you have to ask yourself, with which one you feel at ease and enjoy talking with.

excuse me, what do you mean by '' who i should like'' you mean as friends or more than that?

Société / Politique - "Chelsea Clinton's Wedding"

Hi all. I am from the USA. Have you guys heard about Chelsea Clinton's Wedding last weekend?
I found it interesting that amidst the crisis that our world is in, the media has focused heavily on the wedding of a Clinton, a family described as the US monarchy. I have heard the wedding described as Chelsea's accession to the throne.
In hearing details about the wedding, I was shocked to hear that the it not only cost over 2 million dollars, but that Chelsea's hair and makeup alone cost about $ 20,000!!! I find it excessive that in the economic state, the wars around the world and poverty, people continue to spend mass amounts of money on seemingly trivial events. The whole affair sparks connections to monarchies in history who were ignorant of the poverty that surrounded them, causing unrest among citizens and eventual overthrow of governments. I can't help but to think that this would effect Mrs. Clinton's possible choice to run for president again. What do you guys think?

Maria, I basically agree with you on everything. I wouldn't personally spend $20,000 on hair/makeup, but its their money and they should do with it as they please.

As an aside, if the Clintons did not spend the money they would just invest it in banking. Instead they spent it which supports a lot of various employees and servers (waiters, decorators, cosmetologists, dress designer, etc think about it). This means the money is back in circulation and will eventually probably be used to pay people with lower earning jobs, which helps even more.

Being fairly uninformed on the subject, I ask that you correct me if I'm wrong on something. I'm from Canada, by the way.

Well, the fact that the media is focusing on it is not surprising to me at all. People have all heard of the crisis, unless it affects them they don't really care. People want to know about how the "monarchy" is going, and I personally don't blame them. Although it is rather blissful move to spend so much when being a political figure in this economy, I really don't feel too bugged about it. They have the money, it's their important day, let 'em be people and let 'em spend it. I wouldn't call a wedding a 'trivial event', it's one of the happiest events in one's life, I would never deny a person that much happiness over the economy which is not their fault, at the end of it. I wouldn't go so far as to say that wedding of daughter of political figure = monarchy = terrible ruler = people turning everything into an anarchy, though. 'Tis be a wedding. It's not as she herself is running. I wouldn't think too much of it at all. Thanks for listening~

how far can our brain influence our senses's answers? i mean why when we look at a white wall or a blue one, we feel cold, we have a coolness sensation, which is not the same when we look at a red wall, however, the wall temperature doesn't change with the color it's painted with???!!!! does our brain have something to do with the information we get from our senses? if so how far can he do that?
