Hi! And welcome to my blog. My name is Christine and I am 12 years old. I will not put very many words in this blog. But I will put LOTS of pictures. Please sign my guest book!

Quick fact: horses normally live to be 35-45 years old if you take good care of them.

Photographers corner. (If you want to photograph horses always get there ears forward. They look allot better then.)

UP! UP! And away!

Quick fact row......

A horse's hoof grows at a rate of about 1 cm per month

You can tell how old a horse is by how many teeth it has. A horse gets all of its teeth by the time it is five years old. After that, they just get longer.

There are over 300 different breeds of horses and ponies around the world.

Modern racehorses all posses very similar genes - making it VERY hard to pick a winner!

A pony is not a baby horse. It is a fully grown small horse.

Horses that work or travel on hard roads need their feet (hooves) protected by metal shoes.
The person who cares for a horse's feet is called a farrier or blacksmith.

If a statue in the park of a person on a horse has both front legs in the air, the person died in battle; if the horse has one front leg in the air, the person died as a result of wounds received in battle; if the horse has all four legs on the ground, the person died of natural causes.

The four natural paces for the horse are the walk, trot, canter and gallop.
