Black rhinos are large African animals that are critically endangered. There are only approximately 4,200 rhinos left surviving. Adult rhinos stand at 4-6 feet high, and they measure 10-12 feet in length. They also weigh between 1000-3000 pounds.

Rhinos are hunted by poachers for their horns. Between 1970 and 1994, 96% of black rhinos were wiped out by poachers. In addition to poaching, rhino populations are fragile because females only have a single calf every 2-3 years.

Tasmanian Devils also live in Tasmania along with the Forester Kangaroos. They are endangered because of Dingoes and other wild dogs. Tasmanian Devils are cousins to the Tasmanian Forester Kangaroos.8

Dugongs are found in the costal oceans of East Africa to Australia. They also can be found in the Red Sea, Pacific Ocean, and the Indian Ocean. Dugongs are easy targets for hunters. They are used for their meet, skin, oil, teeth, and bones. It is also number 7 of the top 10 endangered animals.6

Tasmanian Forester Kangaroos are found on an island called Tasmania off the coast of Australia. The population of these kangaroos has reduced 90% since the 1800s due to humans hunting their meet and the loss of habitat used for land expansion.9
