The wolf is one of the most misunderstood creatures. People think of them as dangerous meat eaters, but in reality, they are among the most inteligent and social creatures. Their howl is a way of communicating or celebrating before a hunt. Unlike in the stories, wolves are shy and keep their distance from humans. It has never been documented for a healthy wolf to eat mankind.

A wolf's senses are very acute. Their sense of smell is many times greater than ours, and so is their sense of hearing. Unlike humans, wolves rely on their sight less than all the other senses. Some wolves are known to live their life without their sense of sight.
