Spain

Spain is the 2nd most mountainous country in Europe (after Austria.)
The Spainish culture is very unique. One tradition of Christian faith is to have woman lay their babies on cloth on the road and have a man dressed up like the devil com and jump over the babies. Afterward the priests come and bless the babies.

The people who live in one part of Spain called the Basque are trying to gane independence form Spain to defend tradition.

Austria

This month's special country; Austria.
The most mountainous country in Europe.
During WWII the 1st country Germany took over was Austria.
Austria is greatly influenced by German culture. Some people think Austria speakes Austrian. Wrong. The main language of Austria is German.

Germany

It has one of the strongest armys in the world, Berlin is the capital it's Germany.
Most elders know of Germany as place of war in the past but now it's capital Berlin is one of the most populous and torist friendly places in the world.

In 1939-1945 WWII took place. Adohf Hitler started WWII the goal was to have the Axis countries rule the world.

To some people the German language is harsh.

Portugal

Portugal is the country on the coast of Spain.

In its history Portugal was ruled twice by Spain and once by France.

Later in history the Portugese fought wars with Spain and France for land. Portugal is trying to protect Portugese Culture frome Spainish influece

Norway.

The history of Norway dates back as far as AD 900. Some believe the vikings came from Norway to discover America.

During WWII Germany took over Norway because Norway has a good supply of steel.

Norway is one of the few countries in Europe that doesn't use the euro or the European curency or money. Norway is also very good for fishing.

France

The top torist country in the world: welcome to France!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

France is the largest country in Western Europe.

The capital of France is Paris which is a world land mark for torism.

France is one place many people go and they never forget it.
