This fisherman has gotten reeds, and tied them together to form a boat like floating object.
Bahir Dar is a city in North Western Ethiopia, being a junction between two major cities, Addis Ababa ( the capital of all Ethiopia! ) and Dire Dawa. It's main attractions are: Lake Tana where the fisherman is in the picture! And also where you can ride out to see hippos. Another major attraction is the Blue Nile River, which will later be tossed in with the water of the Falls!!!!!

Here are some facts to get you ready for the Tis Issat, or Smoking Water!!!!!!

This waterfall is also christened as Tis Issat, which means smoking water. Along with being a major tourist attraction, Blue Nile Falls is extensively used generate power in the area. More and more people are visiting this place, providing Ethiopia a great tourist income. It is located on Blue Nile River and is probably the best spot to visit, when in Ethiopia.

Dire Dawa is one of two chartered cities (astedader akabibi) in Ethiopia (the other being the capital, Addis Ababa). This chartered city is divided administratively into two woredas, the city proper and the non-urban woreda of Gurgura.

Dire Dawa lies in the eastern part of the nation, on the Dechatu River, at the foot of a ring of cliffs that has been described as "somewhat like a cluster of tea-leaves in the bottom of a slop-basin."[2] With a latitude and longitude of 936N 4152E / 9.6N 41.867E / 9.6; 41.867Coordinates: 936N 4152E / 9.6N 41.867E / 9.6; 41.867, this city is the second largest in Ethiopia.

The city is an industrial centre, home to several markets and the Aba Tenna Dejazmach Yilma International Airport. Haramaya University is 40 kilometers away from the city.

WOW! This church( the Bet Giyorgis / St. George )was made in the form of a cross by hand 800 years ago! It is quite an amazing sight in Lalibela, Ethiopia!
Here is a site you can go to that has a 5 minute video you can watch & learn ALOT about this church!!!
Thanks!

This is a wealthier child. See her/his clothes? Rags for us, but clothes for them.
FUN FACT : if you gather 6 almost 5 year olds.. one of them would die before they reached the simple age 0f 5.
Sad, huh? normal life for them.

This is a normal family. In a normal family in Ethiopia ( espiceally in villages! ) you would at least have 7 siblings.... But only 2 ( if you're lucky! ) would attend school, which range in age of 5 - 10.. so they could teach every one what they learned in school but while at school not needing to be tending about the house!
