Windsor


Windsor's national flag represence the roses of the city and is part of the old railway system in Windsor, Ontario. The colors on the flag is are national colors dark blue, white, red, green, black, and yellow.


Windsor is the Southernmost of Canada and is located in the Southwestern of Ontario. At the western heavily populated area of Quebec City. Windsor is known as the city of roses and the resident that live there are known as Windsorites.
Windsor has many sports activities you can play or join. Any activities and or sports there is Mixed Martial Arts, Rugby, Soccer, Lacrosse, etc. etc. Windsor's sports fans tend to support the major professional sports league teams in either Detroit or Toronto, but the city itself is home to the following youth, minor league, post-secondary and professional teams. Many Windsor sports teams at the amateur level are sponsored by the AKO
The Annual Summer Freedom Festival. This Festival could atract everyone in both Detroit and Windsor. The Festival has so many fireworks that the sky will seem like it is glowing in the dark. The Festival would always go on for two weeks.
Windsor is home to the University of Windsor, Ontario. Which is Canada's Southernmost University. It is a research oriented, comprehensive university with a student population of 16,000 full-time gradaute and undergradaute students.
Windsor is the western terminus of both highway 401, Canada's busiest highway, and Via's Rail's Quebec City- Windsor Corridor.


Prior to European exploration and settlement, the Windsor areawas inhabited by First Nations and Native American people. Windsor was settledby the French in the 1749 as an agricultural settlement.
Windsor, Ontario is the closest city to the great lakes. Local Transportation provided by transit windsor, the city owned bus company which shares its newly constucted &8- million downtown depot opened in 2007.
