Hello, I'm Lydia Grenich.

I am 15 years old and I live in the USA. I bet you are wondering what Ocust means?
That is what this blog is all about. I'm sure you have heard of vampires and werewolves, and zombies, and ghosts?? Well, have you ever heard of an ocust?
Not many people know what an ocust is...because they are so rare, and unique. An ocust is a thing that takes form of a human, and sometimes acts like one.
Do you know someone that is sort of quiet? But, maybe has a lot of friends? If you do know some people like that, are any of them very smart? Out of THOSE people are any of them oddly beautiful, and are growing at an unusually fast rate? And then do any of them sometimes get very dramatic? If you know someone that has all of those characteristics. They might be an ocust.

Ocust- The meaning

Now, you know what an ocust looks like. Beautiful/handsome, friendly, but quiet, smart, tall.

You need to know what ocusts ARE. Ocusts are a type of human, that are extremely emotional. When they get emotional, they get dangerous. Ocusts can't control their thoughts and emotions, when things get out of hand. They can end up hurting a person they really care about. They don't even realize what they have done until they have done it. Which is why sometimes ocusts are very quiet, and why they limit themselves to social events. The less social, the less chance of them hurting someone.

Some ocusts, are born with extra senses. It means that they are more powerful, but more deadly and dangerous. Some powers may include telepathic movement, extra vision/hearing/smelling/feel, levitation, and mind reading. Some ocusts are very lucky and very dangerous so they have all of these powers. Other ocusts are just lucky and just dangerous and have only one.

You, never want to mess with an Ocust. It might be the last thing you ever do.

Just to be clear, I'm not making ANY of this up. I only know all this stuff about Ocusts, because my best friend is an ocust. Reggie Mayer is an ocust, and my best friend. She didn't tell me she was an ocust until one day when Reggie lost control of her emotions when I called her rude. I only called her rude because someone had just walked by and she wasnt paying attention and walked into them. Then she stormed at me. She grabbed a chair and flung it at me. I put my arms in front of my face to protect myself. The glass legs of the chair put one, long deep gash into my arm. I got 5 stitches. Now I have a long scar down my arm. After the accident, I didnt want to speak with Reggie again. She wrote me a letter explaining why she did what she did. I didn't understand so she stayed after school with me and told me in person. I didnt believe her, but then she showed me her power. Remember how I said some ocusts are born with extra senses? Well Reggie, has the ower of levitating. She lifted a nearby trash can off the ground without touching it. I was amazed. So if you dont believe me, then thats fine.

Ocust-Powers

Well this part of the blog is about the many powers that Ocusts have. Like I'm sure you know from the green box that some Ocusts can have extra powers, but I'm talking about powers that ALL Ocusts are.

These are the types of powers ALL Ocusts have:
1. Speed- Their speed is heart breakingly fast, they can be in one place and then another in just minutes. That's why whenever I walk with Reggie to school she's always going so fast that sometimes I need to run to keep up!
2. Strength- No matter how small or big the Ocust is they are very powerful. They don't even try to be strong either! So if you befriend an ocust, you should never be afraid if you are with them. They are probably stronger than anything else at that moment.
3. Dazzling- Because Ocusts are so completly stunning and beautiful, they have a certain affect on humans. When ever ocusts feel sad or worried, they dazzle people around them into making themselves feel better. By using their marvelous beauty they feed off of human emotions, and adopt them as their own. Absorbing it out of the closest human.
4. Healing- If ocusts ever do get hurt they heal quicker than any human. Any bruise or cut is healed in 2 days max! A sprained ankle that should take 2 weeks for a human, only takes 5 days for an ocust. It's just amazing.

This, by the way is my Ocust bestfriend, Reggie in a photo that her mom took of her in front of a wall in her house, she doesnt even have any makeup on! Isn't she really pretty?
She is so nice but she is dangerous. I like her anyway!

Reggie has 4 other kids in her family. Her older sister who is 17, Crystil, 12 year old Cobey, 7 year old Danielle, and 2 year old Shaylin. So far Reggie is the only Ocust in her family. Her parents Scott, and Talia Meyer are not ocusts. Reggie's littlest sibling Shaylin still has a chance that she is one, though! Reggie just noticed that like her, Shaylin is very pretty. Even for a baby! Shaylin also started walking at 6months old! Most babies walk at 9 or 10 months! Reggie still has to see if Shaylin builds any Ocust like behavior. We are watching her intently.

Reggie has an ocust in her family! I figured I would share this info. with you after I told you about Shaylin. Reggie's cousin on her dad's side, Tyler, is an ocust. He is 12 years old and he is just starting to feel very emotionally challenged. He didn't know what he was until October 8, Tyler turned twelve. Reggie and her family went to Tyler's house and she noticed he was feeling uncomfortable. She went to his room. Then he told her he knew what she was thinking!!!! She couldn't believe him! Well she believed he could hear her thoughts, but she couldn't believe he was an ocust! Well he is very handsome!

This is the wonderful Tyler. Reggie's cousin who is Twelve years old and in 7th grade. He is a straight A student like all ocusts because they are so smart! And he is so athletic, because of his amazing strength and speed.

Oh my! I am so sorry I haven't been writing to you lately. We had a tragedy in Reggie's family. There is good new and bad news.

Good News: Shaylin is an Ocust as we expected and she has grown 1inch since the first time we wrote about her.

Bad News: Reggie's mom, Talia, just died last week. She had a heart attack. It wasn't Reggie's fault if thats wat you are thinking. So now it's just Scott, Reggie's father. He is never at home either because he is a sales engineer. He travels months at a time. So now the Meyer family got a new nannie named Anki. She is from Norway and she is really annoying. She is like 35 years old and she is pretty and athletic, and loves games, but she is strict.

Reggie is so bummed about her mom, but she is recovering. She actually used her dazzling affect on humans of kids at school all week just to make her feel good. And she never uses her powers on humans, it was scary.

So for more facts on Ocusts, here we go.

Ocusts are warm-blooded. I know you probably don't believe me but yes they are. If you have ever met an ocust then you know that when you touch their skin that they are so warm. But, when they are angry, their skin and eyes and mood is ice cold. But even though they are cold to the touch they still feel warm.

Another thing that is very interesting is that ocusts lose power during the month of October. It has to do with Artik Vondelri. He was the first ocust to walk earth in 1348 and in the month of October he died. Apparently he died looking for a mate that was also an ocust. What he had done was read every womans mind and see if one of them had abnormal brain waves, that show you were an ocust. While he was doing that one of the woman's mind was in fact ocust-like and she sensed him looking into her mind and she telepathicaly destroyed him. It was gruesome. He died right there in front of her, she didn't mean to but she just got worried and killed him. Her name was Caldira Cuven. So every October of every year, all the ocusts around the world feel a drain of power because of the first ocust killing which happened that very month several years ago in 1348. Talk about a halloween story! Reggie and Tyler and Shaylin are just recovering from this past October.

I am so sorry for not writing for about two months! It has been crazy with school, and holidays. I am sure you know what I mean. I want you all to know I didnt forget about you all!

Shaylin is growing rapidly, and Tyler has been getting Ocust lessons in the time of my last entry. Tyler, like Reggie, is now very good at controling their powers. Now he doesn't get headaches all the time from reading a room full of people's brains all at once. He knows how to look for one specific mind and block all the others out. Thanks to Reggie. I just turned 16, December 6, and I will be a lot more busy now with all of these new tasks, like driving, and test studying! So i won't be able to right in regularly now. Just every once in a while. Well i thought you guys might want to know what i looked like so here is my pic that Reggie took of me, sorry i am not as pretty as she is!

This is a picture of Crystil, Reggie's older sister. As you can totally see, Crystil is such a poser! She loves to pose in front of cameras! And you can also tell she looks a lot like Reggie, just compare the pics and you will see!

Hey Everyone! Sorry again for being away. I have had so much school work and soccer and lacrosse practices. ITS BEEN CRAZY! but as you can see, I put a picture of Cobey up there! And I will try to write in more often! But Reggie's birthday was just last week, on March 8th and she turned 16! She's so excited for driving! I am too, she will be able to take me to school in her new Range Rover she got for her birthday! Its black and its so pretty. I will post a picture of it up here soon! Okay I got to go! But I will write back soon!
