Hello, writers everywhere!
I'm Abby, and this is a place for me to put all my stories. If you want me to put up any of your stories, email or SOTW mail me. My ref# = 527700. |
| Hey everyone! I had an idea: What if we make a blog written by the writers on SOTW? It would take a bit of work to get everyone who wanted to be on it, but I think we could do it. Tell me what you think by email, SOTW mail, or my forum.
PS: I will also post this on the Ideal Job: Writer forum. |

| One thing I think about a lot is the power of words. Many poems have expounded on this subject. I feel the effects of it every time I read or hear a well-written essay, article, or speech. Words can bend the opinions of all who hear them. Writers, if you feel powerful right now, you have just proved my point. Next time you set pen to paper or fingers to keyboard, think about the impact of what you are writing. Who will read it? Will you come across as you intended? Do the words you use carry your point effectively? Words are a powerful weapon that, if used correctly, can accomplish much; yet if they are not used well, they may do more harm than good. |

Can you tell me...
What is yesterday?
I know
It's more than just a faded memory
More than the broken dreams of you and me
Tell me...
Yesterday is gone
Yesterday is past
You knew it wouldn't last
Yesterday is gone
What is tomorrow?
They say
Tomorrow never comes
Tomorrow's never near
It's all about what's here
Tomorrow never comes
Tomorrow is...
A hope
A dream
Everything you want, but not
Enough to make it come true
Today
What is today?
They say
Today is all we have
Today is everything
Tell me
Today is life
Today is a flower
Today is spring
Today is yours
Today is fading fast...
And here you sit
Tell me... |
| I'm standing here
Wishing I could see your face
Wishing you were here beside me
Last time
I saw you
So many people
Watching...
I wished
It were
Just you and me
But I know I am
Just one
One
Out of all the hundreds
Of your friends
Why should I
Be the favored one?
I'm just me
Still standing here
These tears
I don't know
Why
I'm crying
Standing here
In the wind
By the river
Waiting
Hoping
Wondering
Where are you?
I wish... |
