The Hunger Games: Book Review
Summary:
In a world called Panem, there are 12 Districts. ( Panem is North America after it turns to ruins.) In District 12, which is the poorest of all the Districts, 16 year-old Katniss Everdeen hunts in the forbidden woods to shoot game to feed her family. Every year in all districts kids aged 12 to 18 put their name in a reaping ball to get food supply from the capitol, which is the head of all districts. But in sacrifice for the food, the head mentor from each district picks from the reaping ball and if you get picked you will have to compete in The Hunger Games. The Hunger Games is a fight to the death on live T.V. Each district picks a male and a female tribute. Only one tribute wins after all other tributes are killed. When Primm gets picked from the ball, Katniss volunteers to go in for her. With the help of Haymitch, ( Katniss and male tribute Peeta Mellark’s mentor who won the games years before) Katniss has an epic adventure including drama, romance, and most of all, rebellion to the capitol.
