Spanish Pop music flourished since the conclusion of Francisco Franco's regime. Contemporary impact was well drawn from the American and British music, especially rock and roll culture. Tourism was also enhanced by such type of, musical traditions and festivals of Festival de la Canción De Benidorm in the seaside town of Benidorm.

Ye-Yé is derived from the famous English pop-refrain words "yeah-yeah". A French-coined word and mainly was a fusion of American rock and British beat music. Concha Velasco, a singer cum movie star, launched the first hit of this genre of Spanish music named as "La Chica Ye-Yé".

Regional folk music is mainly played in the entire autonomous regions of Spain peninsula. They have a distinctive style of their own and the particular singer also acts the lyricist and composer of the song and was parallely introduced with those of Latin America and Portugal.
