Shadow Proves the Sunshine-- Ecclesiastes 1:15 and Ecclesiastes 7:13
Both talk about how crooked things cannot be made straight. The whole book confronts this topic of people being crooked, and ends with the hope that Jesus is the only one capable of making us straight.
And I think, a lot of the songs from NoJob 38:5 "Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth"--God talking to Job. has to do with Economy of Mercy "where was I when the world was made". also for that song, in Isaiah, and other places (i just can't find them) God says the clay doesn't ask the potter what he is making..the clay is just something to be formed in the artists hands..and i think this goes along with "we are bruised and broken masterpieces, and we did not paint ourselves"
Psalm 1:1 "Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful". has to do with happy is a yuppie word "blessed is the man who's lost it all".
We are one tonight also goes along with a bunch of scriptures that address unity-- Psalm 133:1, 1 Cor. 1:10-17, 1Cor 12:12-27, Philippians 1:27, John 17:20-23, Acts 2:42-47, Galatians 3:28, Romans 12:5 (that was a lot...sorry. i'm doing a message on unity soon, and using all those passages and we are one tonight, so that's why there's so many.)
thing Is Sound touch on the topics presented in Ecclesiastes.-posted by l!v!nforjesus
Daisy(daisy let it go..) i think goes along with these verses-- Luke 12:22-31. Jesus talks about not worrying about your life and letting go of those things that you cannot do anything about.
Only Hope-Sing to me of the plans that you have for me over again....is sort of related to this verse here in Jeremiah..
Jeremiah 29:11-13 - For I know the plans I have for you, " declares the LORD, " plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Love is the movement: "if you love your neighbour, you will fulfil the requirements of God's law" Romans 13:8
on fire: "i'll tell u where u need to go, tell you wen u need to leave, tell u what u need to know, i'll tell u who u need to be"
"The Lord says: I will guide you along the best pathway for you life. I will advise you and watch over you." Psalm 32:8
heres one for "This is your Life":
Jam 4:14 Whereas ye know not what [shall be] on the morrow. For what [is] your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
and" Gone":
1Jo 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
the "Loser":
Phl 3:8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things [but] loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them [but] dung, that I may win Christ,
Phl 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
Phl 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

Beautiful Letdown-"i tried so hard to fit in...until i found out, that i don't belong here".
"If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you."John 15:19
the fatal wound: "Son of sorrow, staring down forever with an aching view"
