Help Nature In Your Own Way!!!

An eco-friendly blog

By Georgia

A lot of people think they do a lot for the enviroment. But some people think that the
enviroment comes last. We need more people to help our planet. Putting recyclable
items in the recycling bin can be a way to help more. Also, buy reusable shopping
bags. They can really help.

Has anone seen the movie "WALL-E"?
If you haven't, in the movie the Earth gets covered in
rubbish, and the Earth's population lives in space.
Living in space may seem cool, but I would not
like to live out there.
What is your favourite animal?

If it is a turtle, they wouldn't survive with polluted waters
and infected air.

If it is an owl, they wouldn't survive if we keep cutting
down trees because we don't recycle.

All animals need nature to survive. Even WE do.

Most of our favourite plants depend on water and sun to help them
grow. If we didn't have plants, instead of a blue & green planet,
we would have a brown planet, with no flowers or foods that grow
on plants. So keep our planet smiling!
On March 26, it's Earth Hour. From 8:30 to 9:30, turn off your lights.
You could have a slumber party then, or host a candle-lit party.

For all Australians, March 6 is Clean Up Australia Day.
Australia can be very eco-friendly if we don't litter and throw rubbish
in the bin.

Look at the picture on the left of this text. If we
cut down trees and ruined the grass with new
buildings, we wouldn't see this any more.
Don't turn your lights on and then walk away.
It's bad for the enviroment and makes you think:
"Why did I turn the lights on and then walk away?"
When you go on holidays turn the lights off.
Turn off the television at the power switch, and
everything else that can be turned off.
e.g; washing machine, lamps, computers.
Your electricity bill can get really big if you
leave your power on during a long holidays.
Remind your family to turn off power.
Your brother is sure to forget to
turn off his PlayStation!
If you like pretty, relaxing sunsets, if where you live gets
smoggy and dirty you might not see them again.
The smoke will block the sight and you probably
won't even see the sun.
Most schools try to keep their grounds free of rubbish.
But you know that there's still someone littering.
If that is YOU, please stop. It's bad for the
world. If you know who it is, when they drop rubbish
pick it up. They might just stop. If you don't
know who it is, watch everyone at your school at
recess and lunchtime . You might find out.
