~Ask the Hawk~
"Ask the Hawk" is part of the paper that answers your questions. If you have a problem that you feel embarrassed to ask, just write it down and put it in the "Ask the Hawk" box in your classroom. You don't have to use your real name, so make up a code name. We will answer two each issue.
Below are a few sample questions that could be answered.
Dear Hawk,
I need help with my homework, but I am scared to raise my hand and ask my teacher. I don't want other kids to think I am stupid! Please help me!

Hello Catsarecool9779,
I promise you that no one will think you are stupid if you have a question. Chances are that other children are thinking about that same question. They will think you are brave for asking the question! It would be sillier to not ask and then get the answer wrong!
Below are real questions!
Dear Hawk,
My two BFF's get into fights. It's really bad because I have to pick sides! What should I do?

MonkeyGirl1
Dear MonkeyGirl1,
You can still be friends with both of them and you don't have to pick a side, but if they get mad because you don't pick a side, they aren't your real friends.
Signed, The Hawk
Dear Hawk,
When this person gets mad at me, they get on the bus and spread rumors about me. What should I do?

Dear Kitty,
First of all, don't let rumors get to you, they are lies. Rumors are just a way of bullying others and making them feel like you are smaller than them. Rumors are mean though, you need to ignore them, or else if you act sad or mad over them the rumor will think her/his plan is working. You need to also talk to them about it and use the De-Bug System. If that doesn't work tell a teacher, principal, or adult. So, try not to let it get to you Kitty.
Your Feathery Friend,
The Hawk |
