Can you imagine a school without sports? I defiantly can't. I live in Prince William county. Since the economy is really bad right now our county decided to make budget cuts. By that I mean we won’t have any more school sports and our class size will increase. When our superintendent proposed the budget plan for next year many people were outraged because there would be no more school sports.
This really bothers me because I wanted to play football next year. I wanted to play football next year because it is a sport I really enjoy playing. Recently there was also a meeting about the new budget, whether to approve it or not. After a lot of arguing the budget was approved. A lot of people who play sports were sad and people who played sports in high school now have to pay $50 dollars so they can join they’re school team.
I thought of some solutions to solve JUST the sports problem. Well since high schoolers can still play sports but have to pay $50 dollars to play I thought it would be fair if we had the same option because I know a lot of people who would be willing to pay the money to play. I hope they fix this problem soon. I really wouldn’t have fun at school if there were not any more sports.
