About the Project:

This project was created for orphans from all over the world. The project gives each orphan a pen pal to write and someone to talk to. Every month, letters will go across the globe to orphanages with kids of all ages who just want a friend.

Interesting Facts

*About 15,000 children leave orphanages each year, once they are 16 to 18 years old. Of these, 5,000 are unemployed, some 6,000 are homeless, around 3,000 resort to crime, approximately 1,500 commit suicide, and roughly half the girls are forced into prostitution.

*Every 30 seconds, two children become orphans
