National Hero is the highest title of the Republic of Armenia.
It may be awarded for nation-wide important services rendered in areas of defense, law and order strengthening, and creation of significant values.
Only 15 persons have been awarded with the highest title of Armenia's National Hero, and only 3 of them are alive as of now. Some of them are known world-wide.
