Mini Biography

Born in San Luis Obispo, California, and raised nearby in Arroyo Grande, Zac Efron took his first step toward acting at the age of 11 when his parents took note of his singing ability. Singing lessons soon led to an appearance in the production of "Gypsy" that ran 90 performances and he was hooked. After appearing on-stage in "Peter Pan," "Auntie Mame", "Little Shop of Horrors" and "The Music Man", guest parts quickly followed on television series, including "Firefly" (2002), "ER" (1994), and "The Guardian" (2001). After guest-starring in several episodes of "Summerland" (2004), he joined the regular cast as girl-crazy Cameron Bale. Efron also starred in several pilots such as "The Big, Wide World of Carl Laemke" and "Triple Play." He also recently starred as an autistic child in the television movie Miracle Run (2004) (TV), alongside Mary-Louise Parker and Aidan Quinn.

Efron graduated Arroyo Grande High School in June 2006. Efron's favorite sports include golf, skiing, rock climbing, and snowboarding. He recently added surfing after spending days on the beach for "Summerland." He plays the piano at home, and is currently teaching himself to play the guitar. He's also currently fixing up two cars in his spare time, a Delorean and '65 Mustang convertible, both treasured hand-me-downs from his even-more-treasured grandfather. Efron lives at home with his parents and his younger brother Dylan. They have two highly affectionate Australian Shepherds, Dreamer and Puppy, and a very independent Siamese cat named Simon.

Biography

Vanessa Anne Hudgens was born in Salinas, California. Her sister Stella Hudgens is also an actress. She was home-schooled since Grade 7. Her parents are Greg Hudgens and Gina Guangco. In regards to her ethnic background, Vanessa was quoted:

"Pretty much I'm Filipino and Caucasian, but within that, I'm Spanish, Chinese, American Indian, Irish."

Starting at the age of eight, Hudgens performed in musical theater as a singer, and appeared in local productions of Carousel, The Wizard of Oz, The King and I, The Music Man, and Cinderella, among others. Hudgens successfully auditioned for a commercial and subsequently moved to Los Angeles with her family, with whom she is still close. Hudgens' friends include Adrianne Galvez, her Filipino friend but all of the rest are famous like Hannah Montana's Miley Cyrus, Zoey 101's Alexa Nikolas, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody's Brenda Song and High School Musical's Zac Efron and Ashley Tisdale. The Efron/Hudgens relationship, otherwise known as "Zanessa", has been confirmed to be true in the Myspace blog for the Tween magazine, Popstar!, BRAVO! (Portugal) J-14 and by Hudgens' rep on AOL.com.

Recently named one of Teen People’s 25 Hottest Stars Under 25, Ashley Tisdale is best known for her role as Maddie, a hotel candy counter clerk and baby-sitter of devious twin boys who live in The Tipton Hotel on the Disney Channel series “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.”

Ashley can currently be seen starring opposite Zac Efron in the original movie musical, “High School Musical,” directed and choreographed by Kenny Ortega. The film premiered in January 2006 and was the highest rated telecast in Disney Channel history. Ashley made music history by being the first female artist to ever debut with two songs simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100 chart (“Bop To The Top” and “What I’ve Been Looking For,” both duets with co-star Lucas Grabeel from the RIAA triple-platinum certified “High School Musical” soundtrack).

Ashley has currently recorded her debut album for Warner Bros. Records, "Headstrong". Her new version of “Kiss The Girl” is featured on the special edition DVD of “The Little Mermaid.”

Ashley’s acting credits include a featured role in the film “Donnie Darko” with Jake Gyllenhaal, Maggie Gyllenhaal and James Duval. She was a series regular on “Nathan’s Choice,” “Mayor of Oyster Bay” and “The Howie Mandel Pilot,” and had recurring roles on “The George Lopez Show,” “Still Standing” and “The Hughleys.” Guest star roles include “Grounded for Life,” “Strong Medicine,” “Boston Public” and “Seventh Heaven,” “Malcolm in the Middle,” “Charmed,” “Hannah Montana,” “Once and Again” and “Saturday Night Live.” Ashley also shot the-now-famous
T-mobile commercial with Catherine Zeta-Jones.. On the animated front, Ashley has a recurring role on Disney Channel’s “Kim Possible” and will voice one of the lead characters in the new Disney Channel animated series “Phineas and Ferb.”

Manager Bill Perlman, who continues to represent her today, discovered Ashley at the age of three in her hometown mall in Monmouth County, NJ. After booking the first audition she was sent out on, Ashley went on to star in over 100 national network commercials. At the age of eight she booked a leading role in the national tour of the Broadway musical “Les Miserables.” She then toured internationally with the cast of “Annie.”

When Ashley isn’t pursuing her acting career, her passions include singing (she sang at the White House at the age of 12), shopping, and hanging out with her friends and sister Jennifer, who is also an actress.

Tiny Bio

While it seemed like this beauty became famous overnight as one of the stars of High School Musical, her journey to fame actually took a decade. Significantly older than her HSM costars, Coleman was already 25 when Disney's smash 2006 TV-movie changed her life. The South Carolina native began performing while still in high school, appearing on stage and in commercials, and even writing, directing and starring in her own one-woman vehicle. Although she had a handful of parts in the '90s, she jump-started her career by moving to Los Angeles in the '00s, winning a string of guest spots on a variety of series (Gilmore Girls, Malcolm in the Middle, Boston Public), invariably playing younger than her actual years. HSM and a recurring role on the Disney Channel's hit series The Suite Life of Zack & Cody planted her firmly in the spotlight.

Began acting at age 8 with the Workshop Theatre School of Dramatic Arts of South Carolina.
In high school, she wrote, produced and directed a one-woman show called Voices from Within.
