Gleeks rejoice as Glee returned to the T.V. screen Feb 6th, 2011 after the epic superbowl. Here, we have the recap of the episode!
The episode opens with the Cheerios attempting to impress their coach with a routine performed to Katy Perry's "California Gurls," complete with blue wigs, fire-spouting outfits and stunt bikes. But it turns out the only thing that will impress Sue is a canon, preferably one shooting out Brittany...
Meanwhile, Coach Bieste and Mr. Schue have devised a plan to finally bring the football team and the glee club together: Force the players to listen to Rachel and Puck sing Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now." Surprisingly, that doesn't work out quite like they hoped. In fact, it, and a face full of Slushie, helps Karofsky and his band decide they would rather quit the football team than be forced to one week in glee club.
With the Warblers' slow-mo break dance sing-along to Destiny Child's "Bills, Bills, Bills," you
enjoy every minute.
Sue, the joy of the show, proceeds to throw all heavy items around McKinley High when she finds out she isn't allowed to launch Brittany out of a cannon. In fact, she becomes so angry that she moves a cheerleading competition to the same night as the football championships, forcing Quinn, Santana and Brittany to choose between the glee club and the Cheerios.
"If we're not Cheerios, we're nothing," Quinn tells Finn, before he claims she is strong enough to drop Sue and her 'interesting' coaching techniques for the sake of her friends.
Everything is left to the rest of the glee club girls who, while the Cheerio trio suits up for some halftime cheer, take to the field in some football gear to keep up the McKinley High football team's numbers so that they can play in the championships.
Puck meanwhile forces the anti-glee members of the football team to listen to his excuse of an inspirational speech to get them to re-join the team and help them with their halftime show. They probably agree simply to get him to shut up.
Fortunately, Karofsky would never actually join the glee club for good. While he basically spits in Finn's face after the glee club helps him win the championship, Finn is consoled by Quinn, who, with doe eyes, says, "You were amazing this week, on the field and off."
