I do not like to read criticism of films made by other people, when I have to write my. Not even heard comments from a movie that I just have to watch and write about. Can I stop being influenced in any way, and this may end up changing my view on a film and, obviously, think about it.
However, it was inevitable in recent weeks, ignoring some opinions on Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Almost all sites and people who attended the film fell to firewood. Are people saying that hunting is pure-nickel, which is a film very rushed, which has a lot on screen…
I would say that I agree with everything. Or almost everything. Clear which is nickel-hunting (on what is launched in order to gain profit), is a rushed movie has a lot on screen at the same time, and frankly does not work in the cinema. It is not a pleasant experience leaving home, spend a dollar and assist with ticket… But that does not mean that Clone Wars is a job lost, a bomb set in the universe created by George Lucas. VERY the contrary.
The problem of Clone Wars, actually, comes down to the simple fact is not a movie but three episodes of a series of TV together, forming an arc of a story clearly much greater. The pace is obviously different, the feeling is obviously another. You can imagine, for example, three episodes of Friends, Dexter, Lost or Heroes as a movie? For more cool that is, is not the same thing. They are completely different mediums, with public, rhythm and completely different climate.
I think the idea of playing the episodes in the film as a kind of pre-debut is interesting, honestly, but if something like "today in cinemas, on TV next Friday." The way things is being sold, there are few that go to the movie theather knowing that there is only the beginning of a series of TV, with weekly episodes of 30 minutes, and not a "seventh chapter" in the saga. This may, perhaps, end up undermining the series that, by 1:30 a.m. that I saw in the movie, has a huge potential. Really.
The style of animation is mature enough to take "big uncles" watching and "child" enough to enjoy that small, the characters are even more "do anything you would like to see," such as the War of the Stars is incessant - already begins the theme of the sag, a military arrangement, and man, has Asoka, the best that padawan Anakin could have, since it is very similar to it. Perhaps, more looking forwards, we discover that this is exactly the problem it (at least in the eyes of Annie), but for now it is one of the things most of the legal "new" Star Wars universe. She and the son of Jabba… Yes, Jabba has a son. Do not ask me how I tried to think not.
But then… It is worthwhile or not?
Is good, if you are going movie knowing exactly what go attend. If you have in order to see how the animated series as expected go be, I recommend to all forces possible. If those also true fan.
If you're looking to see just watch an animation or action film, go probably find a fun story, but a film tiring. It may be that not also… After all, one thing we can not forget: the Star Wars universe is back. And that is ALWAYS cool
