Intro

The Carnival of Patras has developed associations with numerous carnivals abroad. It has been represented by carnival groups or delegations at the carnivals of Viarezzo, Nice, Dusseldorf, Cologne, Tenerife, Visbaden, whereas groups and delegations from the London Nottingham Carnival, Nice, Viarezzo, Tenerife and Trinidad have participated in its celebrations (1988- 1991).

In 2000 and 2001, a delegation visited the Carnival of Osaka, in Japan, whereas the 10th Congress of the European Carnival Cities Institution, with the participation of 45 countries from five continents, was held in Patras.
